Planting Tomatoes, Tip from Larry's Family Farm

Planting Tomatoes, Tip from Larry's Family Farm: Take two aspirin and call me in the morning? Dig hole. Toss in two fish heads, a handful of dried/crushed egg shells along with two crushed aspirin. Handle roots gently. Remove lower leaves from stem leaving the top cluster of leaves intact. Gently place tomato plant in hole. Loosely wrap a 2" wide strip of newspaper around the stem to protect it from "cut worms" then hand backfill with native soil. Softly water in the soil.
