Communications/Social Media Intern. ALREADY FILLED
Hiring for Spring and Summer Internships. Jan-May & June-Oct.
Responsibilities will include: 6-8hrs per week, starting Jan 2011.
Looking for personable, local, creative, clever student in need of credit for: communications/marketing/PR. Good writer. Own lap top computer necessary. Monthly press releases, blogs, social media advertising/tracking.
Program Assistant: ALREADY FILLED
School/Tuition Credit or Paid Position Available. Responsibilities include: 2 full office days per week, starting Feb 15th – Oct 15th. Sunday Markets June 12-Sept 25th commitment. Applicants must have good communication skills, be very organized, work well with others, think on the spot and multi-task. Applicant will need own laptop. Program assistant will assist with kids activities, Featured Non Profits and Featured Sustainable Issue Groups. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with managing large groups, events, customer service and problem solving. Responsibilities include bookings, contracts, follow up, and signage promoting weekly groups during Market season. Work directly with Program Director.
Vendor Assistant: ALREADY FILLED
School/Tuition Credit or Paid Position Available. Responsibilities include: 2 full office days per week, starting Feb 15th – Oct 15th. Sunday Markets June 12-Sept 25th commitment. Applicants must have good communication skills, be able to think on the spot, and problem solve. Applicant will need own laptop. The vendor assistant will work heavily with the farmers and gourmet foods component of the silly market, assist with vendor communication and with market organization. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with managing large groups, city regulations, customer service and problem solving. Responsiblities include vendor outreach, communication, street set up , communication with agricultural and health department and whatever silly work needs to be done! Work directly with Vendor Director.
Farmer/Sustainability/Veggie Valet Intern:
School/Tuition Credit only. Assist farmers, zero waste recycling team, check vegetables for daily storage for guests. Seasonal internship, June – Sept for Sunday Markets.
Survey Taker/Stats/Demographics:
School/Tuition Credit. Seasonal internship, June – Sept for Sunday Markets.
Must be comfortable with video/camera and statistics. Compile weekly, monthly and end of season reports. Conduct surveys, welcome guests and collect demographics.
Zero Waste Intern:
School Credit Only. June - Sept, Sundays and some Mondays. Applicants must be knowledgeable about or interested in recycling. The Park Silly Sunday Market has an excellent zero waste history and is looking for talented and passionate interns to continue the tradition. Great opportunities for Environmental Studies credit. Responsibilities include recycling station set up, maintenance, educating the public on what goes where, and tear down at the end of the day. We will also need someone to take food waste to local pigs on Mondays.
Market Photographer/Videographer Intern:
School/Tuition Credit. Seasonal internship, June – Sept for Sunday Markets.
Responsible for weekly photos of the Market & videos on occasions. Work with Social Media Intern to post photos on facebook/youtube. Play a significant role in weekly attendance photos/statistics collection of crowds.

Stage Hand/Entertainment Set Up Intern:
School/Tuition Credit. Seasonal internship, June – Sept for Sunday Markets.
Responsible for setting up stage areas with electricity, signage, water for performers each Sunday. Work directly with sound tech.
- Interviews for Communications Intern will take place beginning of January to hire as soon as possible. Spring/Summer internships available. Interviews for Program/Vendor Coordinators will take place end of January with a start date of February 15th.
